Every vent in your home sits at the end of a duct run. The blower pushes air into the supply ducts, the ducts split and branch through the attic, and each room gets whatever makes it through. A restriction, leak, or design problem anywhere along that path shows up at the register as weak airflow.
Airflow is also a loop: the air you push into a room has to find its way back to the system. When a room can’t return air — a closed door with no return path — pressure builds and the supply airflow drops. That’s why we evaluate both directions.
